About - Atelier Detroit

Atelier was founded in 2022 by Darren Barrowcliff. A graduate of Parsons school of design Darren’s early career took him to London where he designed menswear for nearly a decade finally culminating in his appointment as design director for the historic Savile Row House of Hardy Amies. His collections have been shown in New York, Paris, London, and Florence. And featured in notable publications such as Vogue and GQ.

Always sourcing and archiving unique objects and clothing relics. Barrowcliffs’ curation is put forward as a collection and the brand ATELIER DETROIT. Opening its first boutique in November 2024 at the corner of 1451 Brooklyn in Detroits oldest neighborhood, Corktown.

The store offers one of a kind, rarified pieces mixing true vintage with high end tailoring and vintage designer.
